My Ancestral Poem

My  Ancestral Poem
I am a brave Samoan male, with no shame to hide.
My people are the source of my bravery.
My Ancestors are the brave people that have sacrificed their lives, so that my family can still live on until the day they pass away.In six more years  I see my self representing my culture as a Toa Samoa league star and I guarantee that my ancestors will be with me.
My culture is what binds me and my ancestors together,
When I think of my ancestors they help me to overcome my fears and to stand strong as I am on my journey to find my true destiny and purpose in life.

My Individual Writing

My Individual Writing
Talofa lava, Kia ora and greetings  to you all. My name is Fabian Fagalei. I have black curly hair, brown eyes and I am eleven years old. I’m   a year 7 student who goes to Tamaki Primary School . I am full Samoan and I’m proud of it. My mum and dad decided that we should move to New Zealand so we can have a better education. My best friend is Wiremu he’s in Room 8 and he is Maori. I was born in Samoa November 21st 2001. I am a respectful person because I respect all the teachers at my school. I am also a kind and sporty because I play sports all the time and I am kind to people.

In my family there are 7 people. My mum, dad, my nana, grandpa and my two sisters. My two sisters names are Lutia and Nelissa. One of them is six years old and the other one is fourteen turning fifteen. They’re annoying like a bunch of dogs screaming around the house. Sometimes they’re nice to me, but sometimes I get angry at them because they never listen to me.

The community that I live in is the Tamaki community. In my community there are lots of people who come from different parts of New Zealand to live or have a holiday in Panmure to Point England. The Tamaki community helps the people who have come from different countries to be shown around by their family members or their friends. So they’re just like tourist guides. My community is the right place to be because when people are hurt, our doctors can take care of you, treat you like you want to be treated and make you a home and check what you have done to yourself. The Tamaki community is brought together by Panmure and Glen Innes.

My hobbies include playing rugby league and being a boxer. I really want to be rugby league player so I can become a professional player. The opportunity doesn't  come to me, so I have to go to it and thats how I’m going to become a professional league player. Being a Rugby player isn't  just about having fun! It means a lot of things like playing fairly cheering for other teams, being there to have fun and not only just to win.

My hopes and dreams in  room 7 is to achieve all my goals especially in  my writing, maths and reading. I want to be above the national standard or at the national standard. I am looking forward to see what I have achieved during this year. I am also looking forward to becoming a better responsible person for future generations.

Persuasive Writting

Do you save energy? Well I do and I agree that we should all save energy and power. How do you do it? Well I will explain to you now.

If we don’t save energy and power our world will get polluted and will be running out of money from all the energy that we wasted. If we do save energy we will be able to buy food and clothes for our own family.

My next reason is that if we all work together on all different kind of energy sources like solar energy, wind power and the renewable energies then our world will become much better. Since this year New Zealand is on track.

And my last reason is about our environment. Our forest and trees has been cut so they can make things out of them like pencils and paper. I think that we should save our trees and use computers and laptops but we have to use less energy. If we cut down our trees humans won’t get that much energy.

This is why I believe we should save energy.

My observation report.

WALT write an observation report
Introduction:

The first paragraph should introduce what you are going to inform the audience about.

e.g. This term we have been learning about plants...
This term  my group studied  kumaras and our big question
is which kumara will grow first, the big one or the small one?
Procedure:

Tell your audience exactly what you did and how you did it.  You might use commas to list your actions.

You might use words like:  when, then, after that...
On August the 10th  my group gathered  two plastic cups, kumara and some water. Before I started the lab,I got the two cups and put some water in them. After that I got the two kumaras and put  one inside  each cup.
Observations:
Tell your audience what you noticed.  What were the changes?  Why do you think those changes happened?  What were some problems?

You might use words like: on the first day, noticed, observed, changed...

One day later, I walked into class. my group
was looking at the small kumara, because it was growing little baby roots. The big kumara ran out of water, because the plastic  cup was leaking. After one week the small kumara has roots, because it is still growing. The big kumara doesn’t have root that’s because I think it’s old.
Conclusion:
Tell your audience what you learned from the experiment.  What were the key thing
that you found out.  Tell your audience how you felt at the end of your experiment.

You might use words like:  I discovered, I realised, I learned that...

I have learnt that the small kumara can grow roots faster than the big one because
it’s old.I felt so shook that the big kumara didn’t grow roots.
