My goals for term two

Reading goals

To get to the next level I need to:

• Give opinions about the purpose of the story and the characters
• Use important information to show my understanding
• Make connections to the stories I read by first asking “What do I already know about this?”

Writing goals

To get to the next level I need to:

• Add in some detail using powerful words
• Add details to my plan and use my plan carefully when I am writing
• Read my sentences out loud to a friend to check that they sound right

Maths goals

To get to the next level I need to:

• Learn and use the symbols =, < and >
• Understand maths language to solve story problems
• Use +,-,x and / to solve story problems
