WALT write an observation report
| |
Introduction: The first paragraph should introduce what you are going to inform the audience about. e.g. This term we have been learning about plants... | This term my group studied kumaras and our big question is which kumara will grow first, the big one or the small one? |
Procedure: Tell your audience exactly what you did and how you did it. You might use commas to list your actions. You might use words like: when, then, after that... | On August the 10th my group gathered two plastic cups, kumara and some water. Before I started the lab,I got the two cups and put some water in them. After that I got the two kumaras and put one inside each cup. |
Observations: Tell your audience what you noticed. What were the changes? Why do you think those changes happened? What were some problems? You might use words like: on the first day, noticed, observed, changed... | One day later, I walked into class. my group was looking at the small kumara, because it was growing little baby roots. The big kumara ran out of water, because the plastic cup was leaking. After one week the small kumara has roots, because it is still growing. The big kumara doesn’t have root that’s because I think it’s old. |
Conclusion: Tell your audience what you learned from the experiment. What were the key thing that you found out. Tell your audience how you felt at the end of your experiment. You might use words like: I discovered, I realised, I learned that... | I have learnt that the small kumara can grow roots faster than the big one because it’s old.I felt so shook that the big kumara didn’t grow roots. |
